Naming & Adoption Ceremonies
Welcoming a new baby into the world is one of life’s most exciting moments, and introducing your new born baby or adopted child to your family and friends with a naming ceremony is a special way of pledging your love, joy and commitment.
No matter when and how you’d like to celebrate the new addition to your family, I will meet with you and help create a day that’s meaningful, uniquely memorable and magical.
Working side by side with you, I will turn your ideas and vision into a reality, giving my support and guidance at every stage of the ceremony.
Rituals
There are a few rituals that we can add to your ceremony to make it feel even more special. Please see below some examples. Alternatively, you may have a ritual of your own that you would like to include and we can work together to make that happen.
Hand Printing on Canvas
A simple symbolic ritual where the baby’s tiny hand or foot is printed in the centre of the canvas, with guests adding their prints around them.
With adoption ceremonies the hand prints of the family members are layered to symbolise unity and guests add their thumbprints.
Tree Planting
Fairly self explanatory! However the tree symbolises new life and the wish for steady growth whilst the roots signify putting down foundations and belonging to a home.
